Happy Fathers Day

Cheers chaps! A lovely afternoon and tea-time, spent in the sunny back garden with the grandchildren and family. Eldest daughter unfortunately absent, due to her being overdue, awaiting the arrival of grandson no.3! I've just popped in here on a short break from being back at work at my laptop - no rest for the old and wicked! Hope you all had equally grand days.

Nice to hear that HarryVegas & good luck for the newest arrival

Great day, some lovely presents off my 2 kids & a pop card off my grandaughter, no beer, chocs, pressies lovely written cards, my son even writing looking forward to going to a Boro game together which we've not done for many years, nice touch

Its times like these when you can think you've been a decent dad

I am my own father, so Father's Day has always been quite confusing.
My thoughts today have been for those fathers who may be estranged for whatever reason. Or for children/adults who never really knew their fathers or were abused by them. Sadly little consideration for those while social media is awash with celebrations. I don't wish to be a killjoy or grump but just making a point.

Family one and two have done me proud -no gifts per se, just nice thoughtful things, drove 50 miles to make my pops a cuppa - only to find he was sinking a bottle of wine from his "adopted" son and a full on roast from my big sis, made my cuppa seem a bit tame🤣
Anyway - a happy a good day to you all

As a foster carer especially for those sort of kids- thanks MC.
