Junior Hoilett

Not really interested TBH.

I’m not fussed if we sign players I’ve never heard of.

In hindsight, the Bola, Dijksteel and Brown-type signings have proved the best value in recent times. I know Brown still has to prove himself, but the other 2 look great value now, even if they took a year to prove it. Even if Brown doesn’t come good, 2 out of 3 is a decent return.

Just 21 appearances and 2 goals / 2 assists for Cardiff last season. He's been pretty decent prior to that.

I'm not sure why so many few appearances? Injured or form? He's 31 in the summer so definitely not a longterm signing.

I hope we are looking at a few early 20s 'projects' and not just early 30s who have been released (usually due to injuries).

Been a good servant to Cardiff for 5 years. A popular player but Cardiff fans mostly happy to see him go as he is not the player of two years ago. Had lost some of his pace and his place in the team.

I know Neil trusts and rates the lad but don’t we have enough wingers ?
That said, perhaps he is letting Johnson go and replacing him with hoillett

We have Watmore, Spence, Mendez-Laing Johnson.

Mendez-Laing and Johnson are out of contract and Spence is rubbish right now.

We also have Browne, but he's still 5 months off fitness.
Watmore is more of a wide forward than a winger, Spence is a wingback. As it stands we don't ahve a single specialist winger fit for the start of the season

Spence might be better as a wing back, but he's played most games for us as a winger and an ineffective one at that.
