I didn't say that you did - but I think if you offer people something for nothing... most will take advantage of it
Something for nothing? Jesus Christ... are you even thinking about what you're saying? Millions of people have NOTHING. No jobs, no prospects, disabilities, no food in the cupboard through circumstances, illness etc and you're saying the majority are just on the take.

You are plainly completely detached from reality or you're on a very poor taste pi$$ take.

So you're now a rich international business owner who knows some people who work but don't use foodbanks therefore noone can be poor and if they are poor it's their fault because they never learned better skills or set up their own business.

If becoming rich turns me into someone like you, I'd rather be poor.
I never said no one can be poor, you're attempting to change the narrative of the conversation - I said i don't believe MILLIONS of people are using foodbanks because they are poor, Millions may be using them because it's free food and who doesn't want something for nothing

Based on you knowing some people who work but don't use foodbanks believing that gives you a fair representation of people who rely on them everyday.

Your narrative if simply that you're now alright, b***r everyone else.

But I've worked extremely hard to be in this position, I have scarified loads of stuff over the years.... so why shouldn't I have the right to enjoy the fruits of my labour?

Does enjoying the fruits of your labour include looking down at the those who are not as fortunate?

You know you can be well off and still not be a complete ass about it.

Well I believe if they work hard as well..... then the fruits of their labour will one day come to them

You can't moan and just expect things to change without any effort, the world doesn't work like that

There are millions of people out there working hard and getting low pay for it, their jobs exist so that society can function.

You don't think they should be rewarded for their hard work, or do you think we should just stop doing those jobs.

Not everyone has the ability to set up in business, should they be punished for it?

"Hard work" is for fools and donkeys.
Its a myth.
Its a delusion that everyone has equal opportunities and can get to the top.......if only you work your balls off and your feet into the ground.
Trouble is - its a pyramid designed to serve those at the top.
Having your own electric tin-opener and the keys to the bike shed doesnt make someone an entrepreneur [thats yer French by the way].

Working hard does not guarantee success either, nor does it mean they moan about it.

Likewise being successful now doesn't guarantee you will be in the future.

Millions may be using them because it's free food and who doesn't want something for nothing

Most people don't want something for nothing imo.

I'm lucky, I have a job and enough money to go to supermarkets and choose what I want to eat. I've never had to go to a food bank. Maybe I'm wrong but my guess would be that the food you get going to a foodbank isn't necessarily the nicest/healthiest/best quality and I assume you don't get much choice about what you receive.

No way I'd go along and do that and potentially be taking food out of someone elses mouth who might need it more, and only to get myself a meal that's probably worse than what I could sort for myself anyway. Think it's stupid to imagine many people would do that tbh.

start your own business.... I started with nothing, it's really not difficult

The vast majority of new businesses go bust in their first year don't they? 80% or something like that? If everyone did as you say and tried to start a business, within a year the number of people needing to use foodbanks would probably go up with all the bankruptcies and failed enterprises.
