European Super League to be announced tonight - 9:30pm

I think the answer is not many Rob. It would be absolutely catastrophic for the football pyramid.

When I heard that quote that one of the clubs directors said his main remit was maximise his clubs revenue first before any thought of the rest of the footballing world just disgusted me. 'Legacy' fans too? Do me a favour.
Catastrophic for the professional game.

The non league game will manage just fine, because largely it sticks to the roots of football.
A sport to be enjoyed by everyone regardless of sex, colour, religion, job title, how much money you have or don't, wether you watch every game or just watch when you can and not be punished for it.

I'll bang the non league drum until the day I die. If the non league club I follow ever makes it way up the pyramid in my life time to professional football then I'll continue to support them because I know they'll continue to do things the right way for the people who supported them and helped them get there.

Glazer for example doesn't give a toss about the people of Manchester, Levy is a snake who I wouldn't trust with £1 coin. The Arabs at Citeh, it's a plaything for them, they don't care about profits and losses, if City ever went below what they determine as a red line they'd be out of there quicker than an Emirates flight to Dubai. Kroenke at Arsenal? Looks like one of those old gold prospectors from yesteryear, treating Arsenal like a pan sifting for that Illusive gold nugget. Liverpool's owners showing their true colours, they don't care about Shankly's legacy, the 96, the working class backs that Liverpool FC was built of.

Every true football fan should be raging about this.

As Rob says, even the likes of Redcar rely heavily on grants from the Football Foundation, which in funded by Premier League money. It will affect every club down the pyramid.

I'm pretty excited about seeing teams like Ajax being able to compete in the champions League again. And seeing a premier League which we have a realistic chance of winning.
I don't care about competitions being devalued. The league cup was a lesser competition and I'm sure I enjoyed winning that a lot more than most United fans would enjoy winning the league.
We will have a chance to win the Football League First Division Championship next year, won by Liverpool 18 times, Arsenal 10, Everton 9 etc.
Heady days!

Why are they having to rely on grants?
The club I follow have spied for grants in the last from the lottery and the football foundation for pitch improvements and stadia improvements, turned down both times
So raised the money themselves and with the help of a strong team of volunteers have made those improvements?

It’s hard with handing out prospective punishments such as kicking the scabs out of the PL now isn’t it, because they haven’t actually done anything yet, the ESL doesn’t exist yet. Saying you’re going to rob someone’s house, and actually robbing someone’s house, are two very different things.

It’ll be very - and I mean very - interesting to see what happens with this UEFA committee meeting on Friday. Just read on BBC that one of the committee members from Denmark “expects” that Chelsea, City and Real will be expelled from this season’s competition.

That would be nuclear.

Does leaving the ECA state intention and therefore punishment can be dished out m

same as a terrorist planning or bombing somewhere, but haven’t yet, they can still be punished

So 15 permanent members that can not be relegated for 23 years and 5 invited on merit sides

so what will happen to those 5 then hmm I wonder

I think this is further down the road than we all think. It’s clear that these have been plotting for years and it will get messy now.

It’s time to act and act hard

Someone mentioned earlier in a reply to one of my posts that pointed to the teams being outside the European Football Leagues.....possible America, Australia etc....
