Name your favourite band/artist

You into The Jesus and Mary Chain as well ? Bobby Gillespie was the drummer if I remember right.
Yes he was, but not really to be honest, that was a little bit early for me. I was listening to neds atomic dustbin, PWEI, Carter USM, that type of stuff until 91 when indie fused with dance music and then retrospectively got into the first 2 albums. Still listen to screamadelica regularly now

I'll check those albums out. I need to listen to some Elvis Costello, he's passed me by apart from the obvious stuff.
For me Get Happy is one of the greatest albums of all time, but those three cover the whole range of styles in his earlier years - from post punk to country ..... the common theme being brilliant, clever, and occasionally cutting lyrics

Jellyfish only ever made two albums (of which Spilt Milk is my favourite), so to fill the vacant third spot, I'll suggest Solid State Warrior by their former member Roger Joseph Manning Jr.

Devo - Q:Are we not men? A:We are Devo!
Freedom of choice
Oh no its...

And although their later stuff is a bit naff, Level 42's first three albums - Level 42, The early tapes & The pursuit of accidents - are brilliant.

When I started this thread it was about Aguero leaving Man City but I had to panic change the subject because it was a duplicate. Well worth it as I've gone down a rabbit hole of new stuff to check out (y)

If we are stretching it then:

The stone Roses
Second coming
XTRMNTR with Mani playing bass.

Or if it has to just be band members solo stuff..

Erm,

Music of the spheres I guess.

As an aside I saw Ian Brown in the sainsbury in my building. I don't normally speak to famous people because it's weird but I had to go up and speak to one of my heroes.

He spotted that I'd clocked him and shot me a look that said "Not right now Kidda, I'm getting groceries" so I slinked away behind the diary counter...
