I'd say any accuracy that conspiracy theories purport to have is merely another face of the scam undertaken by cold readers.
Despite us all being unique, we are simply variations of the same broadly similar thing. The same can be said for countries, economies, social systems etc.
All you need to do is create plausible links between unconnected events and you get a conspiracy theory. The better you are at it, the better the conspiracy seems.
He has created a career out of it and to be honest, is there any real difference between him and George RR Martin or the like who build worlds via their writing?
