These guys have built two for me, both to my spec, the latest to fit an odd slot. The quality is good, to a degree you can specify the degree of quality you want, I.e. thickness of timber etc. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
The owner of Apex is an old pal of mine, hes done some work for me as well, would highly recommend .Thanks Ingleby
Cheers, yes we'll be getting it insulated alsoErimus, my neighbour built one for me (really my Missus) and one thing I would think about is insulation. We had the walls, roof and floor insulated and with a little heating it's usable in all but the most freezing of weathers.
It turns a summerhouse into a garden room if that doesn't sound too posh.
I think she probably deserves a place that feels more like her space and being the gent you are I don't think you will begrudge her that. Just make sure you wipe your feet before entering.Cheers, yes we'll be getting it insulated also
The downsize of replacing the old one, my wife has said no Boro memorabilia on the walls, as the previous summerhouse has a big Boro banner, a framed 73-74 picture & a few framed crests, also the Carling Cup framed picture
You're spot on Millbrook, she certainly doesI think she probably deserves a place that feels more like her space and being the gent you are I don't think you will begrudge her that. Just make sure you wipe your feet before entering.
Don't forget the floor. Insist of insulation here as well, don't be fobbed off that it isn't necessary. A minimum of 8" rigid foam polystyrene under a concrete floor and insulation around the edges if that is the way you go.Cheers, yes we'll be getting it insulated also

That's class that, well donemeant to attach a picture, only small but cosy. was originally a den for the kids, am going to replace the door with a narrow pair of glazed doors (when it stops raining) which i have made up, to get more light in. Seating area in front has now been removedView attachment 15069
That is excellent, really is, I'm no good at DIY & wouldn't even attempt it, well donecheers ErimusView attachment 15081, much appreciated. Built a shed also out of a pile of old fire doors. I am not very handy, i just looked at the stuff they were selling in B&Q etc and thought they are rubbish, i must be able to do better than that for a fraction of the cost.
