May I suggest a new forum dedicated to brexit

I'm sick of thread headings like 'left wing' or 'right wing' thinking it's about Rilpey or Comfort.... Very disappointing when it's not😕

I probably need more politics knowledge. I see a random name in a thread with no context and think it's maybe about a new signing.

But football wise things are a bit flat due probably to pandemic, no fans, lack of activity in the transfer window. Until things pick up let's keep board interesting. As someone posted only 4 Brexit threads on first page. Probably more on Pandemic. I don't read every post a neither will most members.
We could have endless posts on P.L but I am of same opinion of that as you Erimus.
Just one more word to OP and please don't take this as having a go at you. Instead of starting this post why didn't you just start a football one.👍
Fair do’s . Won’t/can’t argue

there was 3, youve made it 4 on the front page of 50.

you still should be able to avoid, if thats your inclination.
He just can’t help himself though. Bless

Deep down he recognises this is was the biggest (mistake) decision in our lifetimes. I’m fairly sure it won’t have too much of an impact on my life so will be able to sit on the fence with my popcorn and watch fervently
But still as a responsible citizen bleeding inside for the jobs this decision will lose or not materialise
History will judge this as a misguided nationalistic lurch to the far right whereby citizens needed a new message and populism stepped from the shadows to promise sun lit uplands but metaphorically we are going to witness a scorched earth (aka ; UK) in the months and years ahead sadly

I would disagree that it's perpetual whinging. I thing you probably need to take in the content of the thread a bit more.
Apart form one or two every single brexit negative thread I've seen this year has been about entirely different problems with brexit. Interesting you see it as whinging when actually brexit is causing so many separate issues that it's easy to do at least a thread a day on them. If they were all "brexit = bad" I agree with you. The volume of issue bring raised by brexit, and therefore the volume of threads, should worry you and not irritate you.

Brexit group’s website suspended in row over its bid to move to EU

The website of pro-Brexit pressure group Leave.EU has been suspended amid a row over its attempt to switch its registration to Ireland to avoid losing its .eu domain name.

The group, founded by businessman Arron Banks and supported by Nigel Farage, moved its registration from the UK to Waterford in the Republic of Ireland shortly before the end of the transition to Brexit on New Year’s Eve, to get round a rule stating that .eu addresses can only be used by individuals and organisations based in the EU.

But now the EURid agency which oversees the .eu suffix has said the site is under investigation following a dispute over the move.
Visitors to the web page were greeted with the error message “This site can’t be reached.”

And EURid’s website stated that the leave.eu domain was registered to the group’s Waterford address, but added that it was “temporarily inactive (ie website and email do not function) and under investigation”.

Irish businessman Sean Power, who is registered as the legal owner of the domain, has said he has no links with Leave.EU.

No he doesn't EFL I think its quite the opposite TBH, I just think you realise you made a mistake, not wanting the UK to move on & prosper & feel angry & bitter with yourself that you won't let go & continue feel guilty & snap out at anyone

Kind of like sub-folders.
That facility obviously exists as we already have sub filters forums for Local History Month and Fanzine Shop - so it should be possible to have sub filters for Brexit, Music etc etc but I kind of prefer it how it is. To me the board is about many things not just football (is that football in general or Boro or are they two different filters?). Its easy to ignore posts about stuff you're not interested in but @rob_fmttm or @fmttmadmin might be willing to explain why the board hasn't gone down the sub filter route?

I agree with you 100%. I read and get involved in stuff I’d never see if it were more compartmentalised.

I agree it's a Boro message board for every subject under the sun & a very good forum too
I was the one who mentioned sub folders, I wasn't implying to change the present setup that way, I was just saying that's how I thought it was going to be looking like when reading the comments leading up to the new forum starting

No leave it as it is its fine

Half the time it's not even a thread regarding debate. It's just a slanging match between labour and tories and point scoring.

I try to avoid opening them, let alone comment on them.

You find it tiresome to ignore brexit threads, its not really that hard is it?
What you really mean is can you please take away the threads you don't want go read?

Thats not my intention Jam69 . I’m certainly not Intending to slag the board off as it’s been/is an absolute Godsend .

The point about dodging what we don’t like is really true and I myself got my wings clipped last year by rising to a thread where people who voted for exit were accused blatantly By a poster of having blood on their hands . Seriously !

I did in fact have blood on my hands on many occasions at work after serving over thirty years as a firefighter . Then to be callously derided on here ( a footy messageboard) because I voted out .

I was understandably advised to avoid such threads after biting which I always attempt to do , but It is sometimes like walking across a minefield . Just because we all didn’t vote the same doesn’t make us better or lesser people .

The board works OK as it is, all in one, I reckon. We just need more people to not start similar threads when something is already being discussed/moaned/argued about on the first page. The other few boards I go on are much better at this with moderators stopping duplicates if they do pop up.

If I wanted to make some constructive comments about Brexit now I wouldn't know which thread to use :)
