I know abortion is a big issue in the US but to vote for a president purely based on this really?I was talking about Trump with some American friends who voted for him. They did so because of Roe vs Wade, which probably got him the presidency. They were fairly neutral about him but, like a lot of people, their view was the economy had done very well with him. (Ignoring that most of the improvement was in Obama's time.)
We got into a further conversation on immigration (legal and illegal); they had a far more right view than me, but then a third person got involved and they backed off as he was an ultra right wing racist - his views are not an insignificant minority!
