Unbelievable where the time has gone
I cant believe how fast the time has flew
I went to Oxford the season before when we lost 3-1 & Bruce blasted in the sunday morning papers ' Performances like that will get me the sack'
Reading those headlines I thought theres no chance of that happening he's unsociable, but looking at the leage tables we were in big danger of going back to where he rescued us from ( I know he was manager when we were relegated but he took us up), Bruce only lasted another 3 games & he was gone, dark days indeed
Colin Todd took the reigns & was incharge the following season, a team of two halves, we struggled at home but won & scored goals for fun away & the one of the goals feast days was at The manor Ground, erimus & a car full hoping to see a better scorline & performance than a season earlier
Ian Baird was the star of the show bagging a hattrick, his only one at the Boro & our 33rd away hattrick & our 135th in total, which included 2 penalties, the 10th match when we have been awarded & scored 2 penalties in one game in our football league history, other goals by Bernie & Robbie Mustoe scoring on his 1st return to his former team & his 2nd away goal, ironically his 1st was at their fiercest rivals Swindon Town
Colin Todds team
Stephen Pears
Colin Cooper
Jimmy Phillips
Tony Mowbray
Alan Kernaghan
John Wark
Bernie Slaven
Ian Baird
Paul Kerr
John Hendrie
