Aug 10th 1968 v PNE won 2-1 Hickton scored both goals.
1st season ticket North Stand Lower east wing juvenile.
Johnny Crossan Dickie Rooks and Arthur Horsefield played also.
I went to a couple the season before hand but cant remember much about them.I

Almost 30 years ago. Boro 2 Newcastle 0, Rumbelows Cup September 1990. New-signing Robbie Mustoe bagged a rare brace.

Middlesbrough 0-0 Tranmere (Who at the time were in the old division 4) in the league cup. 12000 at Ayresome Park and it was a cold midweek game. Pretty bad as first games go.

First Boro home game I saw was v Coventry around 1976 or 77 and McAndrew also started as centre forward in that scoring in a 1-0 win.

My 1st home game was back end of 1971, not to sure who we played, my 1st FAC game was 18th January 1972 v Man City at AP winning 1-0, my 1st League cup game v John Neals Wrexham, on the 5th September 1972, we won 2-0

Have been thinking about it and I think it was the 6-0 home win against Chester City in the 1996/1997 FA Cup (I only really started watching football properly after Euro 96, what a tournament!!). I sat in the North Stand behind the goal(ish) - My defining memory of this game is Emerson absolutely smashing a ball at the goal in warm up, and it missed, flew into the crowd and smashed some girl right in the face, sending her into the seat behind her.
