Define experienced, and define before. In the army he was probably in a squad with some non-whites, and they all worked as equals. When he was younger, well maybe he is ignoring that.
Look I'm a British republican, I would love to get rid of the wasters and thieves that are our royals. But I don't hold that against individuals unless they abuse their position and he doesn't seem to have done that. Seems a decent bloke, I know a guy thats knows him and has met him many times and says he's a really good guy.

A pretty good example of why the Royal Family is actually poisonous for the members of it as well as the democratic process. It's like story that the Queen thinks that the country smells of fresh paint, I'm sure she probably doesn't, but the old joke has a kernel of truth, it is difficult to see the world as others do.
As a fervent Republican Harry Windsor is not the problem he is simply another victim of the problem (a wealthy one true).

To be fair to him, perhaps he hadn't noticed it previously particularly given his protected status and social circle. Only when he got with his wife, he started to notice how someone he cared for was treated differently from him and his peers because of her race / sex ?

Yeah, it's a bit irritating when they come out with stuff like this as if it's some incredible revelation when most people have been living with it all their lives. But that's a sheltered existence for you. It's probably done him some good to get that perspective if anything. Self awareness is not exactly a family trait.

The problem I have with him and her for that matter is that they complain about press attention yet every week they are courting the press with one story or another. The problem is and I think that they haven’t quite grasped yet is that if they want to be media darlings then they also have to accept that the press will at other times be overly critical of them, but they can’t have it both ways. Go and live your live peacefully and quietly away from the media if that is what you truly want ( and best of luck to you, sincerely) Or if as a couple you want to live in the media spotlight accept that at time’s that is a very uncomfortable place to be.

I think thats why hes saying he hadnt experienced it, hed been shielded from it and its concequences...
Im becoming less happy with the role of the royal family but in recent years Harry has been good for their image... now though, with constant media sniping, the british public are turning on him and youd have to ask why hes been portrayed like this?

I think that's pretty obvious, you're either with them or against them. They have a brand and a very effective business to run which generates huge wealth and advantages for them and their hangers on which extend greatly into the upper echelons of society. They can't portray someone who rejects the royal family in a positive light because it highlights how they are not in fact any more special than you or I

What he actually says is that ignorance is no longer an excuse. He explains that even with his upbringing and education he had no idea that unconscious bias existed, and to be fair the defining trait of something that is described as implicit or unconscious is that it is just that, an unawareness of its existence until an action or an event shines a light on it.
