Looks like they "may" have conducted some definitive research there.

The figures announced each day by the government are not based on death certificates. The ONS looked into this when it was first raised as an issue. Their findings:

This was already known though, the numbers are labelled : People who have died within 28 days of a positive test. Clearly that metric is going to capture some people who die in RTA, for example.

Undercounting has been a huge problem since April. Overcounting only happens when there are few deaths so statistically insignificant compared with the thousands undercounted. Hopefully we don't see a second wave of deaths, but, if we do, there'll be undercounting again.

So you think more people have died from Covid than the figures suggest? What were their deaths recorded as then?
 
My Mam was a prime example. Died of liver failure, death certificate stated 'Covid 19' Syndrome. If she had Covid 19 why were there 2 Nurses from the home allowed to be at her cremation.

I know of 3 other similar cases from this area. It’s terrible mate. No one should have their death incorrectly recorded. Sorry to hear that

The next of kin sits down with the registrar and has an opportunity to object to avoid deaths being incorrectly recorded. Unfortunately, the bereaved are not usually in a good state of mind to cause ripples. Once issued, it's very difficult to get a certificate changed.
