It’s looking like a potential landslide victory for Joe Biden

Yep he must be shaking in his boots..
Stop reading and watching Fake Media..
Even the Americans wont Vote foe a Child sniffing Democrat

The Norpoth model weights voter intention by enthusiasm to vote.

Your average Trump supporter is 100% enthused to get out & vote, they are so committed they are showing up to conventions & campaign rallies without masks or social distancing & contracting Covid just to own the libs. Biden does not receive such unconditional support from the Democrat base & so his vote is weighted accordingly.

Undoubtedly there is concern that Biden won't be able to convert the 'not for Trump' into a positive action to support him rather than stay at home, there is also concern that he isn't going to visit the key states again but it isn't a 200 electoral vote loss concern.

fivethirtyeights poll of polls had Clinton leading c.48% to 44% & she never polled above 50.

Clinton went on to win the popular vote by 3m and the final vote was 48.2% to Clinton & 46.1% to Trump, very close to the national polls, bar Johnson's vote switching to Trump at the last.

It is worth repeating that Trump won:
- Michigan by 11k votes (0.2%) & got all 16 electoral college votes
- Wisconsin by 23k votes (0.7%) & got all 10 electoral college votes
- Pennsylvania by 44k votes (0.7%) & got all 20 electoral college votes

So Biden has to do a bit better than Clinton & Trump a bit worse than himself for Biden to triumph.

Again on 538 their poll of polls, Biden is a couple of points ahead of Clinton & consistently above 50%, while Trump is a couple behind himself and not really showing any upward movement to close the gap.

They are still within the margin of error & with two months until election day anything could happen but just I can't see 200 electoral college vote victory for Trump.

You only have to watch this from 1:30 on to understand what's going to happen in the head-to-head debates.

It's not going to be funny, it's shameful that the Democratic establishment have even picked him.

Oh come on, you must know someone that was at some point in early-stage dementia, no decent minded person would let them run for president.

These are not "senior moments"

At least he can drink from a cup, walk down a mild slope and not refer to 18th century airports. The pot calling the kettle black is the appropriate phrase. Biden is not the ideal candidate but America is so polarised it’s difficult to know who is. Bottom line Trump needs to be investigated for a lot of malpractice, he is not fit for office on grounds of his general character.

Dismissing Trump voters as sacred white people or dumb racists as many others have said that risks Trump putting back into office.

If it was simply scared whites people and fear of Latinos then they would vote Republican anyway, they’ve ran on those racist policies for decades. The southern strategy has been going since the 60’s when they started dismantling Jim Crow laws.

Trump won because he successfully tapped into the anger of mostly non-college educated white Americans. He won a whopping 50 percent of voters making less than $50,000

People who the political system has son for years, and neither party has helped or acknowledged.

9 million people switched from being Obama voters to Trump voters, to vote for the first black president there must be more to your political decision process than racism and wanting a wall to keep Latinos out.

I think Trump also got very lucky that he was up against Hilary Clinton.

He won the rust belt - Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. It certainly wasn’t down to the wall or racism (though some will have liked that). He successfully tapped into the anger at free trade deals and NAFTA which had seen factories closed in those areas and their jobs outsourced abroad.

He turns up there and promises to rip up these hated trade deals and bring the factories back to those areas.

Of course in reality he can’t deliver this, but that policy is exactly what these people wanted to hear. It’s Populism 101.

Plus he got the added bonus of being able to run against the very embodiment of the establishment who oversaw this - Hillary Clinton.
Hang fire. He won "a whopping " 50% of low income voters. Doesn't that mean Clinton also won 50% of low income voters. Given that's how percentages work?

Trump is just stupid and ill-educated... that's not the same thing... pushing a man with early-stage dementia into this situation is immoral.

Seems like a reflection of the appalling quality of both candidates that either of them could quite feasibly win. Incredible really given both show signs of dementia.

I think Trump will win. I really hope he doesn't. The democrats deserve all the criticism they get and they certainly don't "deserve" to win. But if you're happy to vote and legitimise someone like Trump you need to take a long hard look at yourself. He promotes hate and divisiveness. Both ours and the US political system are a mess. But at the very least you can send a message that openly lying and arguably criminal behaviour is not acceptable. That should be a minimum. Instead in some cases it's almost applauded now.

Still, socialism eh?

I am so angry at the DNC.. They choose a vile candidate in Biden (someone who lies, 'wrote the crime bill' that see's so many people of colour incarcerated and went from 2 wars to 7 under Obama). They had the option of an excellent candidate in Bernie.
They then double down on kicking the progressives with Harris someone who as AG covered up child abuse in the Catholic church, blocked DNA evidence from being released that exonerated people of murder and aggressively prosecuted people for smoking weed whilst going on to say she smoked it.
None of this is on Trump, he is the symptom not the cause.

I'd think it would depend on whether 50% refers to people who are eligible to vote, or people who actually voted.

Also, I think his point might be that low income voters have a tendency to vote Democrat (but I'm just assuming here)

Never a truer word spoken.

But "does not fit narrative" so please ignore.

Alvez you know they had no chance of convincing the country of having Bernie as POTUS nominee, much like people knew Corbyn didnt have a chance.
The rwnj shills seem to be backing and pushing likes of Corbyn and Sanders in conversation even now, and knocking the likes of Starmer and Biden, its subtle but they think its effective. Havent you noticed? They always give the game away they cant help themselves;)

Hmm I'd say you're backing and pushing the likes of Starmer and Biden who do nothing but the same as the other team (just by stealth) by shaming me for pushing for progressive candidates. Easy game this.

Trump hasnt condemed that young idiot of killing people.
Well he isn't a murderer as you alleged because he hasn't been tried and convicted.
We can both agree he's an idiot.

Of course Trump is not going to condemn him, he's playing the same game as the other side and their "peaceful protests" narrative. (at least that was their narrative until the polls started turning and now surprise surprise Biden is "condemning the violence" which bizarrely didn't exist until two days ago)
