We had an awful season last season and almost paid the price and we are arguably weaker now.

After risking the drop last season by taking the cheaper option, How can we be going into this season with an even worse side ( given the departures).

I honestly thought last season would be the wake up call the club needed, but I guess not.

I hope gibbo doesn’t let one of the best coaches we’ve had in decades slip through our fingers.

Don’t worry so much - there is plenty of time yet. Plenty of action close to and just after the start of the season on the transfer front!

You are correct about the weakness aspect Zorro, but we have a while yet and I cannot believe that Warnock will go into the season with our feeble bunch.
Hope you’re right mate.
I’m Just concerned that at the moment our transfer dealings seem to be going one way.

but as you say there still time so let’s hope.

We have until 5th October. 24th for loans from the prem.
The reason we were fighting relegation has more to do with ******* away loads of money on bad players. If they want to learn a lesson hopefully they will look at the 8 million spent on Saville, the 15 million that will be walking away for nowt next summer and the premier league striker we sold to fund this *****.

We can get out a team but what will be left over for the bench is anyone's guess.

We have two strikers plus Walker, that's it.

We improved under warnock. We werent bottom 3 with that squad. The manager was bottom 3. As we stand we wont go down on the manager alone. But we need signings to even think about top half

I have to admit I'm starting to worry about the lack of activity. History seems to be repeating itself re missing out on so many targets and you again have to question whether our recruitment team are up to the job.

I just hope we aren't left with sqaure pegs in round holes. Bringing in a couple of wingers, a no10 and defensive midfielder is a must and that's just for starters.

Nothing arguable about it.
We are weaker, and the club are failing to strengthen.
How are we failing to strengthen - if someone said you were failing at a job you still had about six weeks or more left to complete You’d probably get upset. Judge whether they’ve failed or not when the window closes. I

Oh and another thing. Who were our best players last year? Howson undoubtably. Behind him you've got Tav, Spence and Coulson.
We don't need a big squad. Karankas two for every position is faulty logic when you are paying top dollar for an academy. 11 good players, 4 or 5 versatile players to cover, then give the kids a chance.

The season starts in a week, pre-season is almost over, and we have had a significant net loss of players.
That's how we've failed to strengthen.

We've missed out on multiple signings, and appear to be continuing to do so.

Things might take a turn for the better before the 16th of October, but currently we've got a threadbare and incredibly young squad.

Surely the question is, is it just Boro who haven't strengthened or is true of our like-for-like peers ( not the club's with the brass )?

Apparently, Robertsdoes not look likely to be back. We need signings - and quickly. Our recruitment attempts have been woeful- for whatever reason. This needs to change - sharpish
