They always cause trouble at our ground, even if there was just 2000 of them. The police will try and stop ticket less fans from travelling but it's going to be next to impossible to do that, so many live in North Yorkshire in places like Whitby, Scarborough, Bridlington, Ripon etc that they will just travel in very small groups and then join up once in Boro. It's too close to the end of the season for them to be not planning something about it now.would that make any difference? they'll still travel in much bigger numbers, and cause trouble one way or another. scummy b***ds.
The opposite - I think the rats would be everywhere. At Ayresome, when there wasa crush in the Leeds end I rem, ember some in the Holgate asking to be escorted outDon't think they'll turn up without tickets, and I can't remember any getting in the home ends in the past.

No mate - having worked in Leeds quite a bit, they haven't changed at all. To be fair, I think they were always VERY wary of coming here back in the day but I suppose there are new generations - and as they now like to sing: "I Predict a Riot"I remember that.
We've got long memories - 35 years ago.
Could they have changed since then?
At the juninho game MFC had allocated some tickets in the NE corner to Leeds families. Unfortunately Boro fans weren't aware and assumed they shouldn't have been there, hence some aggravation.Juninhos first home match there was a big block of them in the North East Corner, they were not well received. Also last home match I went to against Leeds was the 5:30ko under Strachan, which may have been his last match, so much trouble after the match ion the road nto town, it felt comparable to anything I had seen in the 80's.
I think because they lowered their prices and gave us 2900 we might be obliged to do something similar with them.

I feel the same way really. They do seem to have a large thuggish element to their support but generally I'm not that bothered about them.Maybe I’m just an odd anomaly but I honestly don’t care at all about this so the idea of it being unthinkable is quite funny to me. Just not arsed at all about Leeds on any level.
I wonder if this Leeds hatred thing is generational. I’ve never been bothered by them and certainly don’t think of them as a rival anymore than the Sheffield clubs, Huddersfield, or any other Yorkshire side.
That game was total chaos crowd wise. Pay on the gate, 45k sell out, and loads of Boro locked out. They were getting in anywhere they could. Just before kickoff about 300 were led out from the bottom of the Gelderd end by the police!Goes back to the 70s/big Jack era when it was a Yorkshire Derby
Stories of us taking in the region of 10k to Elland Road with fans locked outside the ground
If you look at the clips from the game the holgate is just a see of heads rammed together.
