Latte Lath

I’d say he’s about on a parr with Leroy Lita - i can’t remember what we paid for him but it was nowhere near what we’ve paid for Lath, or the equivalent of in today’s market

I would consider him a steady dozen a season man, like so many strikers we've had in this league. Good for covering ground, he'll have the right idea but not always where you want him at the right time: pretty much what we would have expected from Akpom before his magic season.

With our current slump, these injured players are going to start turning into Cruyff and Henry in our imaginations before they come back and just do ok.

If he was fit over a full season he would easily score 15+
I’ve see this mentioned a few times but I’m just not seeing it.

You think he’ll get around 20 ( as suggested previously)

Btw he’s got 5 in 18 games.

As league goals are the only ones that count really as a benchmark as its consistent opposition.

Yep - I’m not sure how people are working out that he’d get 20 goals based on what we’ve seen. Other than a good turn of pace he looks pretty ordinary

But they don’t as early rounds are normally against sides in lower leagues. So how is that an indicator.
Just complete nonsense. Where do you draw the line? How many are you taking off Van Nistelrooy, Ian Wright, Rav, Messi, Wilkinson, Wilf, Rush, Lineker, Kane, Rod Wallace and Sir Bobby Charlton?

Some goals don’t count FFS. I’ve seen some rubbish on here over the 22-24 hours but that’s probably the best and worst of it.

It’s mental, what some people will post after a Boro defeat. Absolutely mental.

No I didn’t say that I said the only fair barometer for a striker is their league goals.

So if a players puts 4 past Nuneaton it’s the same as putting 4 past Leeds ( of course it’s not).

No player has ever been bought purely on their cup form.

That’s my point not a dig either just an opinion.

Yes he scored 2 v Exeter ( league1) and Bradford ( league 2).

Was noticeable in 1st half yesterday that SToke's central defence were not comfortable with Lath's constant pressing and harassing. We have missed that from any player whilst he and Coburn not fit. After 1st goal he seemed to drop in confidence as did they all.Second half he ran out of steam but understandable as he is trying to get match fit.
I am happy with him so far given new club, new country, bad injuries, etc
