But , the football recently has been so poor/ slow / boring to watch .

We must surely make some changes ?

I've been Engel's biggest supporter, but he was very poor yesterday and we've brought in Thomas to play, I think he'll start.

If Hackney doesn't start in midfield on Wednesday, I'll really start to question Carrick's decision making.
He was poor against Sunderland when played out of position, and he was poor yesterday until he was moved back in to central midfield.

Barlaser was a liability and I'm not sure O'Brien showed enough to play ahead of Howson.

We need a striker up top, Forss is the only fit one we have.
If we'd had Forss getting on the end of Forss' balls in to the box yesterday, we'd have won, instead we had nobody.

I agree on O’Brien
Surely he needs to come on as a sub and impress us all and create a clamour for him to start

Isn’t that the way it should work ?

O’Brien inclusion was a bit of a shock because he hadn’t really shown the promise or impact you expect to see for a start in such an important game 🤷‍♂️

Ayling, Barlaser, Engel have been terrible the last few weeks, as a minimum they have to drop out
 
Unchanged 2nd half formation would be tolerable. We created chances, their keeper made saves, had a goal ruled out and everyone looked a bucketload more comfortable.
Far from ideal, but understandable.

Unchanged 1st half would be bonkers.
