Lost our composure really quickly there. First time it's happened under Carrick to be fair, and first time we've played a side this good.

Lacked a wide out ball all half. Can understand trying to draw them into the centre but only works if you've got a switch out wide into space.

For all the issues at the back we've actually looked really disorganised up top. They've made it very difficult to track their runs from deep.
 
It might be naive but we are who we are, we play it out from the back and sometimes you get punished.

So disappointing but they’ve been absolutely clinical, which is unusual for Chelsea. Four shots four goals is it?
 
Disappointing night. Glad the league cup semi final will be 1 leg from next season onwards. Gives clubs like ours so much more chance. Its one thing to play a European Super League side and catch them on a bad day in a one off game, but when you need it to happen twice over its too much.
 
Let’s just remember the great night two weeks ago. Players haven’t been up to it tonight, but what do some expect against a much better side. All you can ask second half is for commitment.
 
Only positive out of tonight if it ends up as bad as it looks there won't be too many Chairman deperate to appoint Carrick.

BTW I wish Neville would STFU. Sounds like our lass when she latches on to something right when he's bleating on about Howson and the back 5.

Coz he was such a success as a Manager himself. :poop:

Their fans on social media are the worst I've come across. I remember when we last played them in the FA Cup and it was all "Boro's biggest match ever" etc. I would say most were Abramovich era fans, as some of them pointed out Chelsea and Boro had played in finals against each other. They have a weird set of fans from West Africa on social media. I doubt they've even seen them play in the flesh.
