If we don't get promoted this season (I don't think we can make automatic, and if we make the playoffs, it's a 3 in 4 chance we don't go up), I really hope we don't go for so much change over the Summer.
"Complete change needed" leads to slow starts which have really cost us in recent years. I would be looking to bring in no more than 3 starters (sorry if that spoils your Summer Newy).
The counter argument is how can I expect a different result if we don't change? Well, we're changing regardless of whether we bring new players in. Our younger players are gaining experience and improving as a result, and the whole team continues to gel into a coherent unit.
Let's not go changing too many personnel for the sake of change.
I'm pretty confident he will. He's certainly not the type to jump at the first job that's a step up available. He'll want the right job at the right time.I've seen nothing to suggest they would even consider it. These have all been buys with a long term strategy of developing and building a team. Some changes but not wholesale.
If we don't manage it this year, we'll be in such a strong position next season.
For me, the single biggest issue we face is how long we can keep Carrick for. I'd like to hope he'll want to see this project through.
Greenwood has had some major parts to play this season but what did we let watmore go for last year and he has 12 assists and 2 goals this season?Luke Ayling on a free
Lewis O’Brien deal made permanent
A striker
Greenwood or another similar left sided player.
Summer transfer business - DONE.

For me I link greenwood but wouldn't be looking to sign him, I think we may have similar alent available in Gilbert or another youngster's cartwright, mccabe.
I don't think we would, there will be a natural balance and a need to refinance if we didn't go up, so would fully expect a Hackney sale for instance as each year we do not get promoted this will be needed but it will be about fine tuning, if in the championship next year both Smith and Aylinging would be adequate, obrien perm l, dijksteel, coulson and mcnair will probably move on, then we really need to look at CF's.If we don't get promoted this season (I don't think we can make automatic, and if we make the playoffs, it's a 3 in 4 chance we don't go up), I really hope we don't go for so much change over the Summer.

Ah OK, Before the game they put a stat on saying 1 goal and 12 assists!Watmore has 1 goal and 1 assist this season.
I thought he actually looked quite lively yesterday, but as usual his finishing let him down
We gave the rest of he pack almost a month start when we couldn’t buy a win but look at us now…

Wouldn’t surprise me to see Micheal Carrick sign a new contract soon. For me the biggest worry is holding onto Carrick. It would help greatly if we did get promoted and then there would seem little attraction for him to go to a lower half Premiership team. I don't think any of the big boys are likely to go for him just yet as he's not done enough save perhaps Man U because of his connection to the club and previous coaching role there. It's going to be hard to get promoted this year as automatic is out of reach and there's going to be some really strong opposition in the Play Offs (more so than last year). If we don't get promoted then I think next season would be our last opportunity under Carrick as I'm sure some Prem team would come sniffing.
This 100 %, whatever happens as long as MC remains in charge then I expect because of the influx of players we have had at the start of this season for them to be grounded and ready to go the next.If we don't get promoted this season (I don't think we can make automatic, and if we make the playoffs, it's a 3 in 4 chance we don't go up), I really hope we don't go for so much change over the Summer.
