The Bright Star In The Sky This morning

Venus is regularly in the sky shining brightly as is Mars.

Geeky I know but one of my favourite apps is Sky Guide which is brilliant for identifying stars and satellites.

Is Sky Guide a decent app for checking out the stars? I've got the Stellarium app on my phone, but it was the first one I came across years ago when I was looking for free star gazing apps.

One of my favourite things to do is just stare at the sky at night in an area with little to no light pollution. I really should get myself a telescope!

I also think Sky Guide is a better app. Love using it in the garden on a clear night.

SkyGuide is awesome. Love looking at stuff with my eldest bairn and has really educated me with regards whatā€™s in the sky at night.

Now, when people say ā€œlook at that starā€ or whatever I can usually tell them straight away if itā€™s a star or a planet, and if so which one.

Which planet that is, I havenā€™t managed to memorise all the stars yet.

As it happens Iā€™ve been out on my bike today past Uranus. Someoneā€™s been scratching it.
