* The Unofficial "Official" Boro v Sheffield Wednesday Match-Day Thread *

Could we make 5 subs and set up something like this with more of a 5 at the back when defending, could honestly take of anyone to swap things around, I am clutching at straws here though.

We look devoid of confidence and quality, which is not a great combination.

Engel looks miles off, the opposite fullback short too and the front 4 very poor.

The quality in this team is a million miles away from last season and I feel sorry for Carrick because even the best managers can only work with ehat they've got.

Both teams were awful, but we were still second best.

Engel and Silvers surely have to come off
Even when we attacked and Coburn crossed I thought Silvera just hung a leg out rather than positively finish it

So, who is going to take over from Carrick because it is absolutely nailed on that he's going to be sacked in the near future?
Do we continue in this "new model" and give Woodgate another go or will we once again rip it up and start again?
I like Carrick and loved what he produced last season, but he's clearly too inexperienced to get anything out of this vastly inferior squad and it's probably the first time he's been in and around such a poor group of players.

I said to my lad coming out of the QPR game, we needed wins soon as if we got into a relegation battle I didn't think we had a single player with the balls for the fight.

Well, 7 games in...we are in one. Up to our necks.

Abysmal.

I’m absolutely gobsma at every performance so far this season…I really can’t see where our next win will come from…I really don’t think there is much we can do..our recruitment was shocking..and we are defo in a fight to stay up 😢

Steve Bruce knowing Gibson.

I get Engel has been shocking but I suppose he is our only left back but Carrick picked this eleven so he carries absolute responsibility for that first half. Never seen such a disjointed disinterested performance. No passion, no leadership, no desire, completely rudderless. At least five are just not good championship standard and really shouldn’t be starting. That they are is entirely down to Carrick. This is a massive 45 minutes for us. Come on Boro
