How old is your username and how many have you had?

Since I first started on this board (including the old board)...don't know how long that's been....only ever been Legz

Always been Big_Nothing. Upset a few people across the boards, briefly tried posting on more than one but got banned for inciting the other posters by being too PC on a certain other board.

Find oneboro a bit boring, people seem to take themselves quite seriously. Other than a few incidents with some posters (some of whom aren’t allowed access to the internet anymore by law) I’ve found FMTTM to be a help during dark times, a laugh, full of good people enjoying the interesting things life throws at us and sharing a passion for the greatest football team ever.

Must’ve joined 2005? Wonder how I’d feel reading back now. 😂
 
Think I joined the old fmttm sometime after 2007, I’d been reasonably active on the old BBC boards and joined Come on Boro in 2007, but I barely posted and started lurking on fmttm before eventually signing up and posting very occasionally. I joined the new board in 2020. I’m pretty sure I only ever posted under Smoggle on fmttm, I did have SmogOnTheTyne on COB but it was already taken here.
 
I was FestasVest on the old board, through the domestic and European glory years which tells you how long ago that was! Drifted away for a few years and couldn't for the life of me remember any of my login details, so reregistered under my current name.
 
I first got my name in 1066 after coming over from France. A few Brits seemed to be against immigration and tried to block our small boats reaching Hastings. Anyway, we managed to get a shore but we then had arrows thrown at us. We threw some back and one gadgey received life changing injuries, I think it was his eye.

After that we seemed to get on alright but I think that incident might have given them the idea for Brexit.

Used to be “SambaDownTheRiverside” going back to the Juninho days. The original Boro forum was run by a lad from Hong Kong? Named after the Samba dance and I used to wear Adidas Samba trainers at the match. Had to change it to SambaDTR as the new forum said my username was too long!
 
Joined around 2001 - I knew there was some sort of forum from around 1996 ran by a bloke called Tim Lloyd, but the internet and furm seemed different in the dial up era - more like connected emails. Broadband in 2001 was also more reliable and faster. MFC website did open forum in 2001, but it didn't last long after a couple of weeks and after a lot of negative comments about Bryan Robson - freedom of speech was quickly stopped there and nver saw the light of day ever again.

I am bit suspicious about posters who change their usernames a lot, so I don't.

My female Catalan Militia woman avatar (of 1936/7) does not like fascists or commies - she stands for the common people particularly women who for a very short period in Spanish history were empowered above their traditional exploited role. She fights fully and equally next to men, showing how teamwork and passion can sometimes stop much stronger forces. I dread the thing what was done to her by Franco's Mob, but her spirit lives on and survives.

Red is the colour associated with MFC since 1901. Wurzels are rural dwellers in the West of England, i.e. beyond Darlington to some Teesside Folk. :)
 
I was Bumface on the old board but I didn't post very often. I'm just bumface these days. I did have another username a very long time ago but I can't remember what it was.
 
I think I had this username on the old Rudds Arms message board. Then brought it on here in the fairly early days of fmttm (rivals version)... possibly nudged by Johnny Vincent's Motorbike (though he had a different username then). I would have flown under most people's radar until Rob was in South Africa at the World Cup and all sorts of stuff that would embarrass him with his SA hosts was being posted, so I offered to moderate the (Rivals) board for him. Another admin, formerly known as Buddy, advised against doing it publicly but I decided to admin under my regular username. Had a major cull of idiots in the first few weeks which gained me a fan club that still follows me to this day. So I have variously also been known as Stalin, Pol Pot, Bad Dad etc etc. Must have been doing something right as Rob hasn't told me to eff off yet. I have had a couple of other usernames on the old board when I was winding up some of our persistent trolls, but I can't remember them, apart from Holgate Zero. Only had this moniker on the new FMTTM.
 
I've been here a long time as I remember amongst many things posting on the old board defending Curtis Flemming against some Neanderthals who didn't recognise talent when they saw it. That was under my original name which bore a close resemblance to my surname.
I became billsykes when we moved to the new board.
 
Can't remember exactly when I joined, but was a regular reader for a fair while before I did join. A Geordie mate who I worked with, used to love hearing me recount some of the posts and threads on here. Always had the same username.
 
Same name going back to around 2001 or 2002 on the old Rivals board, albeit with a sabbatical of 15+ years. Only came back last summer to keep up to date with transfer rumours following Wilder's post Preston rant. Got sucked back in.

Remember Capybara, Lizards and littlejimmy from back in the day. Also ended up being really good mates with Shackerooni and dandan in real life off the back of this. The three of us used to play regular 5 a side with Bandito and Boksic as well when I was living in Leeds.

And I still chuckle when I think about some of the knuckle dragging idiocy on a thread titled "I've been talking to the elders" from way back when.

Oh yeah, whither speckyget?

Aye, that would be me. I posted a lot back in the day from around 1998 to 2002, very early fmttm days…

I think….I may have been amongst the first to post on the old board when it was very new indeed….don’t ask me the date around that though…but I think I was there at the very start.
 
I’ve used Priv as a username online for various accounts / gamer tags etc since I was about 16 so over 20 years. Used Priv on Oneboro and COB from the start but on the old version of FMTTM had to put an extra couple of letters in it as someone had already claimed it, not that I ever saw it used.
