The Saudi banner yesterday....

Every team should be doing this against them. I hate Newcastle, family reasons. Putting that aside, if Putin had gone into Ukraine six months earlier, there’s no way they could let the Saudi takeover happen. They bomb Yemen every day. It’s absolutely ridiculous on so many counts. Their fans are just hypocrites. Hate them.
 
btw, its about time Sunderland got their act together and started doing it too. They constantly whine about NewSaudi United on their own forum, but outside of that not a peep out of them.

Even Crystal Palace fans have been more vocal about it in the public eye than Sunderland fans!

Man City is effectively owned by Abu Dhabi State, before that a dubious politician in Thailand.

Chelsea was owned by a former senior KGB agent who suddenly became a billionaire a few years after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Qatar Governement are sniffing around Man United and Liverpool.

There are other Premier Clubs are Russian/Chinese owned or part owned. (Bournemouth, Villa, Wolves, Everton?)

The only 100% British owned club that I know of are West Ham (owned by individuals who made their wealth from Porn).
 
One of the things that drives me crazy about some Newcastle fans, are the ones who spent years complaining about Ashley. Talking about boycotts and the ownership endlessly.
Now their owned by rich but very dodgy owners they insist they “only want to talk about football” and try and shut down talk about ownership all the time.
I heard one fan say “it’s not as though people will just stop doing what they’ve done every Saturday because of the owners”.
 
Whenever they bring up the argument that they can't do anything about who owns their club, they should be reminded that they're the ones who hounded Ashley out followed by 100,000+ of them signing a petition demanding the Gov/EPL allow the Saudi takeover to go through.
 
My brother in law baits me on the ownership topic now and again. I’ve started telling the in laws not to try and engage me in football chat because it will end in an argument. I love the wonderful line he keeps coming out with though, ‘Steve Gibson has done some dodgy stuff in his time too though’.

West Ham are not 100% British owned.

A Czech businessman owns a nearly 30% stake.
