I think CB. Now a Head Teacher so has done alright for himself post football career!
 
It probably is Branco.

Chris Morris played a lot of games at left back though.

Mind for the Hoyte fans so did he.....
 
I took my first girlfriend to see Branco make his debut for the reserves. She dumped me soon after. So maybe I'm biased but he was definitely wellll past his best so I'd definitely go for Branco.
 
Surprised to find that Branco "appeared" for us NINE times. (I refuse to dignify his activities on the pitch with the verb "play")

Regardless of expectation and his career elsewhere, he was just shight, expensive shight at that.

He was about the size of a subbuteo player and was immediately singled out for the back post header on his debut. If the rest of his game had been any good, he’d not be on this list but he was just horrific at everything.

Branco, great player that had been semi-retired for 18 months when we signed him, at least 1 1/2 stone overweight and didn’t really put the training miles in to resolve that.

But neither of them for me…it’s Phil Whelan, supposed to be a left back but he was 6 foot 4, so speedy wingers turned him in knots or breezed past him. With the ball he had no discernible passing or dribbling ability. He was just a lamp post. Should have played basketball as you don’t need to kick a ball but just be tall.

He played a lot of games at left back though. I used to sit in the North East corner on row 6. He was right in front of me. I couldn't believe how bad he was 🤣

I'm sure Whelan was a centre back. Can't remember him ever playing left back but could be wrong.
 
Alan Wright.. nothing else needs to be said surely.. one game only or not the fact it is still remembered by so many shows how spectacularly bad it was!

Again I don't think Whyte played left back in the prem for us. Left sided centre back in a back 3 I think (Wilder would've loved him). Was decent in the first season up.

Our memories of that time don't seem to align 😂. Possible one of us has somehow fallen into a parallel universe without realising it......🤔

Wherever we put him, he gets about 5,000 votes from me. Even now I still get quite angry when I think about how bad he was. Got a vague recollection that he displaced someone half decent in the team, which made it even worse.
