Archer a doubt

I'd normally really not want Crooks up there, and would bring in Jones or Ramsey and move Forss forward personally.

But for a physical side with decent height away from home I'm not so sure, we might benefit from 'the tree'.

But I do think Crooks up front changes the whole way we play, less space/time for McGree and Akpom, less fluidity and movement as an attacking unit etc.

Dunno what would be best, we don't want another Sunderland performance!

I'd be tempted to bring Jones back in for this one. Would be massive for his confidence if he could come in and do well.

We may be able to cause them some problems using his pace to play on the counter.

Don't think his defensive game is strong enough for this kind of encounter. Tends to dive in in dangerous areas. Crooks would offer a bit if an aerial threat from corners and could help with Berge on set pieces.

could help with Berge on set pieces.
I'm starting to get more optimistic about Boro these days (following years of heartache), but Bergen really worries me when I think about tomorrow.

If Crooks could help to nullify his threat I'd be well up for that.

UTB 👍

Or it could set him right back if we get battered….😔

My biggest concern is whether we can stand up to their press. We failed miserably last time. They absolutely monstered us. Didn't sit right at the edge of our box but pounced on our midfield esp. Howson.

Think hackney and Steffen are the key. Hackney to receive the ball in midfield and Steffen to make the right decision on where to play the ball.

A quick man rather than a big man would stop their defence from pushing up and give us more space.

Last time they were fired up by wilder. This time they won't be quite so fired up and hopefully the pressure will get to them a little more.

I think Barlaser might start tomorrow, didn’t get on Saturday so could have been saved for this one. No point risking Archer if 50:50 and Crooks gives us more height at set pieces. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Fry back either.
