No more Lilt

Next you'll be telling us they no longer drink Um bongo in the Congo.

A real shame, as lilt was a nice refreshing drink on a hot summer day.
 
Unreal as a mixer with Rum in the summer, only if you can’t get OG Jamaican ‘ting though. Preferably a white rum though otherwise it looks like beck water, still tasty though.
 
I think that I was the only person who drank vodka and lilt when we were about fifteen and getting drunk in the park. Everyone else was drinking Diamond White or Castaway or cheap cans of lager. I just used to buy a two litre bottle of Lilt, pour a some of it away and top it up with a quarter bottle of cheap vodka. The police turned up once and everyone else got their booze confiscated and the coppers told them all that they should be more like me, because I was the good boy who was just drinking Lilt.

I once got drunk on Jack Daniels and Lilt whilst pulling an all nighter on Football Manager with my mate. About 19 I’d say. I’ve never drank JD since. Lilt was all his mam had that could be used as a mixer.
