This is the problem with the anti-Starmer brigade. So desperate to criticise every move he makes you undermine your credibility.

Looks like he might not even have said it. But if he did so what? An arguably clumsy comparison between two groups of evil murdering b***ds hardly makes him a tosser does it?

It's not like there isn't loads of other legitimate stuff you can criticise Starmer for.
 
I have quoted verbatim from his speech in Dover this morning I had Sky News on and even rewound it to make sure, I even had the subtitles on.

The comments was confirmed later when that Tory fop with the blonde hair (has to be a syrup) Sir Divvyarse said he agreed with the comment

OK I've now watched the clip. Yes he did say that about people smugglers. I have no problem with that. Lump them in with rapists and murderers while we're at it.

These Tory bigots have a lot of supporters or reform do.
Plenty of the population do have immigration on their list of concerns - I don’t by the way - so Starmer has been forced to lay out how they will manage it because the Tories keep spouting lies about labour not having a plan…

It's also a manifesto pledge but it won't receive any positivity from the 'I've voted Labour all my life up until Keir Starmer became Party Leader' brigade.
 
If politicians are really serious on those organising boat crossings, they should treat it like counter terrorism. Get MI6 involved too and really go after them.

Of course, that doesn’t deal with the actual root cause of the whole issue.

Drug dealers Drug addicts and Drug users destroy local communities. A blight on our society imho. A cancer on our society.

People smugglers are vermin and responsible for lots of deaths including very small tots. Making money from the desperate, while the Rishi Sunak sets up camps that will cost lots of money the country can barely afford. I wonder who is investing in this and supplied the initial money to the Rwandans ?

I see a few have gone back to their Tory love in.
 
I don't think it matters which end of the political spectrum your beliefs lie, I just think any decent human would recognise how abhorrent these people are. Coercing desperate people and take whatever money they can get out of them and often putting their life in serious danger and rancid conditions. Vile humans.

Iit's jsut a concern is all. maybe I'm sensitive because of the Elphicke thing but this "small boats" issue is jsut so ludicrously inflated compared to the actual problems it cause and compared to the homelessness, cost of living crisis, degradation of public services, isolation from our main trading partners that are casing actual problems in this country. Fine, yes go after people smugglers, this is a good thing. But it seems to be the only focus of the political parties when there are so many bigger issues we need to fix.

In summary: People smugglers = Bad. and I'm glad the issue is being addressed. It jsut seems like it's all a political party needs to promise. Which is troublesome.

It really isn't troublesome. You know how many people doors, particularly children during these smuggling operations.

You need to listen to what starmer actually said. It's available online.

He also addresses, to an extent, elphicks detection.

You couldn’t possibly disagree with that……..except “The Daily Mein Kampf”, “Thé Scum”, Torygraph” or “Thé Times”. Unfortunately that will probably include a sizeable majority of those who voted for Ben “Pugsley” Houchen last week!!

That's a fair point. And it makes me sad it has come to this. The Tories have stirred up racial hatred with their "small boats" single issue policy. So now other parties have to be seen to address the invented problem

It is a massive problem though. Not in an immigration sense, but a human safety sense.

That's my point too. We live in a country that has so much bigotry we have to address minority issues.
 
People seek asylum and become refugees not because of "people smugglers", but because of war, famine and genocide. Follow the bombs........
