Sky Sports + Announced

No, they are on the radio and I guess that iFollow paid the BBC to use their commentary?
The one consolation of not getting promoted was watching every game home and away on Boro live via the MFC website
I will miss that like hell

I had not realised that fixtures could still be moved after release date for games between September and January. I was hoping that fans could schedule all their home and away weekends til January in June. But no.
  • Before the start of the season, selections shall be made in respect of all matches scheduled to be played prior to the end of the third round of the FA Cup in January

All games to be shown on the opening day at either 12:30, 3pm or 5:30 I’ve read
There's usually a Friday night game and a couple of Sunday games on the opening weekend anyway isn't there?
The fixtures could be spread over the whole weekend rather than having them all at the same time slot.

I read all TV games up to January would be confirmed so who knows

I thought I’d read the 3pm blackout had been removed for the opening day of the season

It's not been removed, it just isn't in place.

50% of all Championship and Premier League games have to be on at Saturday 3pm for the blackout to take effect.

There's obviously no Premier League on, and plenty of matches will be kicking off at other times across the weekend.

You need 11 matches across the full 12 available to be on at Saturday 3pm for there to be a blackout.

I thought non league was part of this picture

No, but I've actually made a mistake anyway.

It's the top two divisions only.

So there needs to be 11 of the 22 PL and Championship matches on at Saturday 3pm for the blackout to be in place.

There's no Premier League on on that day, so the only way the blackout would be in place is if all but one Championship match was at Saturday 3pm, which is obviously not going to happen.

I hope you are right but I fear not. I thought Boro live and iFollow were linked.

They are, and they're not longer providing it domestically, but it's still available for overseas viewers as normal.

You've been watching most of them "abroad" anyway if you were watching every single match.

I think this season will be a bit of a trial for most people. How does the new TV schedule affect their ability to attend games and their enjoyment of the games?
For some people, they won't be bothered. Others will be affected massively.

I personally hate Sunday games. Sundays are for grass roots football for me and will always take priority. If we end up having loads of Sunday games, I will certainly get to less of them.
It will also affect the TJFA (and other local leagues) fixtures schedule massively.

Monday night kick-offs are the only ones I can't stand.

If we manage to dodge them, I'll be happy.
