Let’s remind ourselves, this problem has only really started to properly develop since freedom of movement ended and the land borders tightened significantly closing down those safer routes of illegal uk entry.
That said, I am hoping upon hope that the French government (specifically Macron) have been taking the money from the Tories for policing the beaches BUT, with not all their full focus.(because they privately despise the Tories)
If the French want the Uk people back on board with the eu and persuade the Uk public to start a ‘love in’ with labour - knowing a labour government will move closer to the EU, once labour get elected the French ought to be busting a gut to stop the boats for labour…
Strategically, long term it is a very good approach by the French for the uk people to be endeared by labour and the EU
