Pure speculation.. throwing a name into the hat. With an apparent lack of cover for Marc Bola (unless Kokolo is the boyo) and with Nathan Wood looking likely to go back out on loan to get some much needed experience under his belt it would make sense that we would be looking for a centre back who could play left back or a left back who could play centre back. Bit of a Pogatetz so to speak. No wonder kid or premier league academy star needed.. a solid dyed in the wool dependable championship defender.

Step forward 29 year old six footer from Preston North End with a year left on his contract. Played 28 games for Preston last season and looked solid as a rock.

He's excellent IMO great range of passing with an eye for goal. We should have signed him ages ago instead of wasting millions on others..

Andrew Hughes rates higher than Denver Hume in defence. Denver Hume would be a decent 2nd string/one for the future midfielder. Plus picking up a talented player from Sunderland for buttons should automatically score higher than any other sort of transfer. Whack Luke O’Nien in the mix for 2nd string midfielders for bobbins too.
