Your favourite Black & White Film

So many people have put 12 angry men. Why is Sidney Lumet not a more celebrated director? He made dozens of brilliant films. I've never known a director bring so many spellbinding performances out of actors.

Anyone see the recent black and white horror, 'The Eyes of my Mother'?! Helluva good film! Genuinely creepy. Nearly as creepy as Dominic Cummings...

I've never seen It's a wonderful life. But I'm definitely going to watch this Christmas
You are in for a treat Shaboro, I wish I could go back and watch these movies not knowing the endings. Angels with dirty faces is a classic for that, does he, doesn't he. It's a wonderful life, watch and enjoy, it is the ultimate feel good movie, but you won't know why until you do.

Loads already mentioned but a few more of note .

The elephant man
Whatever happened to Baby Jane
The great dictator
Brighton Rock - Pinkie’s cousin from Boro gets a mention !

I'm a fan of Will Hay films, and it surprised me to see that he was born at 23, Durham Street, Stockton on Tees, I don't think we give him enough recognition. Is the house still standing? Is there a blue plaque on the wall of his old house?

Not necessarily my favourite but raging bull was on list night which I recorded - will have a watch later, haven’t seen it for about 20 years!
