I support adults with autism and learning disabilities, all with a history in forensics. It's very challenging at times and you realise that the old saying "if you've met one person with autism, you've met one person with autism" is true.
One lad who we support is a massive fan of Ronaldo and won't even entertain the idea of Messi being on par with him, or better. He's extremely concrete in his way of thinking and likes everything to be black and white.
In many ways, you need a split personality in order to support them effectively, as they're all incredibly unique and require a consistent person-centred approach.
