Your delirious Boro moment

We're very lucky to have had many great moments, especially in our recent past. When did you lose it completely? I've had a few, but the winner v Bucharest was astonishing. I felt like a 10 year old for days

Everton fa cup night match at ayresome....couldnt talk for a week, stamford bridge play off, wolves away, jonny gittens and wilko, alll of the european matches, carling cup final, brighton promotion match . We've had many great moments compared to other clubs our size.

For some reason the Basle game got me more. I think by the Bucharest game I believed miracles could happen.

Totally lost it with that Macarrone header, I was watching with some fellow fans in a pub in Covent Garden, beer went flying all over, we got some very strange looks :D(y)

Final whistle in the ZDS northern final in the Holgate... you could almost lift your feet off the floor and float, it was that packed out...

Too many to mention but agree with all above
We have been lucky following the Boro & some great moments 👍

Have to be a tie. between
1) at the final whistle v Oxford in 1967, the second time I'd ran onto the pitch and
2) the first time I ran onto the pitch 5 games earlier at Peterborough after Dickie Rooks scored what proved to be our winning goal. Loads ran on at Peterborough but I hadn't realised they'd all run back into the crowd and I kept running in my euphoria. As I got to the centre circle and Dickie Rooks he said "keep on running son there's a copper after you.". I ran into the side terrace and ran the gauntlet of Posh fans as I made my way back to behind the Boro goal. I got just a few feet from my mates when I got my collar felt and was frogmarched out of the ground so missed the last few minutes. Did well hitching back, me and my mate got a smart lift in a Boro fan's Roller all the way to Marton crossroads.

Maccarone v Basle was bigger than Burcharest for me as it felt unbelievable, Steaua was more the fact it happened again and the astonishment of it but the amazement of the first wins it for me.

Others for myself:

Festa v Chesterfield Semi Final 97 ("What a comeback with 10 men, we've done it")
Branca v Liverpool (2nd in first 3 minutes. In a semi final)
Huth 89th min equaliser at Newcastle when SKY lapped up the return of Keegan 08.
Nugent v Hull / Forshaw v Reading / Rhodes v Bolton (All felt vitally important, and they were, as team, manager and fans suffered stress in the run-in to promotion).

Strange one is Tomlin v Birmingham at Home around 2014 or 15. Feeling the injustice of losing both centrebacks to really harsh red cards and going down to nine men but still getting an injury time goal to seal victory when both Birmingham defenders collided with each other. Ran around a deserted corner of the ground and when the whistle blew straight after KO I was in a completely different block.

Brighton for the most recent promotion match.

Elation mixed with sorrow. We were in the uk visiting my brother (who was ill) as well as going to the match.

My brother died of cancer during the following season. Before we were relegated.

Brenda away at Villa. Right behind that free kick and through the rain I knew it was in as soon as he hit it. Still feel the moment now like a thud on my chest. Boom boro. It felt for a split second I knew before everyone else and then the burst of cheers released me from my day dream. It was real

Yep, what a strike

How that game continued mystified me to this day, conditions were horrendous, don't get me wrong I'm so glad it wasn't called off
A weak injury plagued struggling 2nd division Boro v 2nd placed, 1st division form team, with England golden boy David Platt in their ranks, among others

When I got a copy of the zds final I was given a copy of what I think was England v the rest of the world or the rest of the world v some other country . What ever it was bobby charlton was playing in it around the time we played the final .

I was amazed Charlton was playing he’s always looked like a pension 😆

When Juninho ran out in the red shirt. After seeing him be the stand out player in the Brazil team in the Umbro cup tournament, I couldn't believe he would sign for us...
