Young lads on bikes not moving out of the road?

Is this a new fad? Happened to me a few times in the last few weeks, its bizarre. Just riding really slow right in the middle of the road, know fine well there is a car behind them. Just a blatant "im not moving for you and there's nowt you can do about it".

They will rub someone up the wrong way one day.
 
I just accelerate they soon move. Their bravado soon crumbles when they hear the acceleration!
 
Be careful with this. Happened to me near the Blackwall tunnel, the lad on the bike stopped in the road and one on foot planted his feet and drew what looked like a monkey wrench out of his jacket, held it with two hands pointing towards me. I suspect it was an attempted car-jack
 
This happened to my wife. Lads just stopped in the middle of the road,she was a bit worried but two lads on motorbikes come around her and scattered them and then got off their bikes and started giving them a lot of grief...they slunk off. Not all Grebo's are bad ;)
