As an opposition player.

No nous, no fight, lack of desire in wanting to stop the ball going in the back of the net.

No goalscorers. Barely any creativity.

It’s a really sad situation.

A huge game on Tuesday night for the football club.

It’s incredible. Can see it a mile off every time. I don’t get why we are continuing with the same midfield time after time and same tactics. Something must change.

That's what I find most worrying. We ain't talking about talented players finding pockets of space between our lines. It's a gaping chasm between our defence and midfield which nobody at the club seems interested in emending.
 
Hackney is a useful player, but he is limited when defending. His instincts are first to attack. More like the Hoddle of the 1980s.

Time is catching up with Howson.

I would try O'Brien more centrally specifically to defend. Maybe use Howson as shield for the centre halves

The whole team has to defend when the opposition have the ball and be much more alert to danger, surprised how niave we looked in the highlights when defending. Look how quickly Blackburn had 7 players defending when we attacked, but when they attacked the pitch looked much bigger, because we seemed to have less bodies around.
