Yorkshire lads - Warnock v McCarthy : Predictions. + Cardiff 3 Boro 4 from October 1970 [Video].

Depends which Boro turns up, but Cardiff have won 6 or 7 on the bounce and they are THE form side at the moment.

And I'm sure we cant be as bad as the other night again, can we?

Cheers roofie, loved that, a goal that was worthy of winning any game to put Cardiff 3-1 up then a rare penalty miss from Mr Middlesbrough John Hickton, his 2nd of his career, then the mighty Boro grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck & what a comeback, what a result

Great footage, lovely to see the late, great Willie Maddren scoring back then, black & white too & Boro fans rejoicing

Did you know:
May 1965 – Winner takes all final match of the season, winners stay up, losers go down, Boro’s centre half Dickie Rooks scores a hat trick, unfortunately Cardiff score 5 as we lose the game 5-3 & relegated to the 3rd division

Andy Campbell is a hero in Cardiff, he scored the winning goal against QPR in the playoff final

Stephen Pears Boro’s 1st loaned signing made his loan at home to Cardiff 5th November 83

Played for both clubs:

Micky Burns - 61 games for Boro, scoring 24 goals, played 6 for Cardiff scoring zero goals
Alan Foggon - 115 games for Boro, scoring 45 goals, played 17 for Cardiff scoring 1 goal

George Smith - 74 games for Boro, zero goals, played 45 for Cardiff scoring 1 goal

That Cardiff 3 Boro 4 game. Wow. Peter Kings goal!

What a game that was. Some very rare
footage of

1 Boro coming from 3-1 down
2. Away fans in the home end at Ninian Park and no trouble!
3 John Hickton missing a penalty
4. A player pushing another player to the ground and brandishing a fist and no booking!
5. Film of Cardiff fans applauding Hicktons goal
