Wycombe Chairman on BBC Radio Derby - Everyone needs to listen

A diversion for what?

Genuine question
Basically he is questioning how good their administration team is, as they said they won't be selling any players

He is also saying why hasn't Mel Morris sold the stadium and helped to pay debts - so essentially saying they are blaming Boro and Wycombe, yet there's money still there

Derby are over - the Wycombe Chairman at the end said and I quote "I have an obligation and I intend to pursue it"

They also have to pay / sort their issues with us, HMRC, non-football creditors (whoever that is), they have no stadium

Couple of questions

Can the EFL force the administrators to sell assets..i.e players?

What is the timeline HMRC have given the administrators for payment (£39 million, I believe)?

Can the EFL force the administrators to sell assets..i.e players? - I believe the administrators will have to, you would have to sell your car, etc if you had debts

What is the timeline HMRC have given the administrators for payment (£39 million, I believe)? - I really don't know, but anyone can do 're-payment deals' with HMRC, so this may not be as big of an issue as some may think

What a nob head that presenter was, just wasn’t listening to him at all. Kept repeating the same old cr6p.
Thought the same, he was very "It's not Derby's Fault!!! It's everyone else" - but then again he is on BBC Radio Derby haha

The law of the land says that within 8 weeks the administratrs have to have a plan that is put to creditors to be voted on - has this happened yet?

They should have done it before 2020 as that was when the law changed to make HMRC a preferred creditor - not like this football debts rule which is only an EFL rule to get back into the league.

Clubs wont just be able to pay HMRC pennies in the pound anymore. In the real 'business wirld' administration is only really succesful if the company has a cash flow problem that has an end in sight - do Derby have that, or is it going to be insolvency and start again. Only if they are gifted the ground back would this be the case surely and then Gibsons whinge about them being undervalued would seem very fair.

The whole recording was very interesting. They really are in trouble and the administrator have a lot to answer for, I think.
I'd hate to see them fold, for their fans, but it sounds really ominous for them.

I think only Mike Ashley can save them now.... don't know how Gibson would feel about that like

It’s very interesting to hear and quite fortunate that the Wycombe owner is highly experienced in law. Him constantly calling us Middleborough was a little annoying though.

It’s quite telling that the administrators are saying it’s the two claims holding the sale back, when it seems they have never asked either club how much they want or made any settlement offer to compromise on if the alternative is winding the club up.
