I'm out today in Linthorpe village for a have to be out medical reason and what the hell.. The place is packed out.. Loads of racer boys blasting along Linthorpe road.. Groups of people having a chat.. People obviously out to buy just paint etc. If I didn't have to be out I wouldn't be. My wife thought it would be lie a ghost town.. Nope like a Saturday afternoon.. Another racer boy.. Make that 2 more flying by... Crazy

All the police cars are out putting notices on cars that might have been driven to a beauty spot for a secluded walk.

Those selfish people may wake up when it finally hits home if they lose someone close to them
What goes through a person's head when the know what's going on in the world & think, I know, I know but it doesn't apply to me though
Because of the attitude of several people we will be in lockdown for a goid while, even tougher restrictions & more sad stories, hope I'm wrong

It does seem busier today - (perhaps talk of a downturn has changed some minds) - the road traffic outside is heavier than its been for the last 5 days, and so are people walking, jogging, cycling, shopping, and with kids walking past.

I think this Thursday and in to Friday is going to be difficult - its 2 weeks since the last weekend of the pubs and clubs being asked to close.

Do people really think that after 2 weeks self isolating they are free to go out and play, if so I feel they are in for a shock.

The majority of people will continue suffer for the selfish few, we will still be in this awful predicament as the summer ends & autumn kicks in & people will maybe realise if I'd have been a bit more stronger & stuck to the government guidelines we could be seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, sorry we won't & thanks to those idiotic selfish I'm alright Jack's

Yes they do I'm afraid and it will get worse when the weather changes this weekend.

The trouble is as a nation we have a large minority that (to put it simply) are "thick" and will not do what they are told regardless of the consequences, doesn't help when police forces are castigated for doing what they think is the right thing.

More severe sanctions will be coming next Monday after everybody starts flocking out again in the weekend sun!!!

It is really a case of how loud do I shout

Please stay in your homes, unless you're going to work, doing food shopping & limit that to just one person if possible, what is hard to understand, I agree people are really thick, sorry but that's a fact of life

Everyone is where I live.

I've mentioned this previously, and i'm genuinely interested in what the reasons are.

In Spain (the only country I have direct experience of, but I'm told France is the same) just about everybody is obeying the rules - ok, there are men with guns making sure you obey the rules and challenging you if they suspect you're taking the pi55, but they're not really needed, certainly not in my area. The place is deserted.

Why can't the UK do the same ? - it can't be just the "thick minority" surely ?

The longer people continue to go out, the longer we have to stay in, can it not get any simpler.
Norfolk totally agree, you see videos of people around the world while staying in playing games with their families, orchestras playing & putting a videos together, date nights, etc, etc yet the deluded few think it doesn't apply to them
And come the end of the summer when there are still pubs closed, parks closed, restaurants closed, football stadiums closed, no holidays home or abroad, regimental queuing at supermarkets then the penny may drop & they may realise, yes maybe I should have listened to Boris & stayed in

I have found everywhere pretty quiet I confess. Most people seem to be pretty sensible as CtC said though that might change when the weather warms up.
