Wow. Latest Hartlepool polling...

1. How many times, I am not a Tory. But I also cannot support Labour because of their current inadequacies. It doesn't have to be one or the other!
2. I don't need to back up my opinions because that is what they are, opinions. We are all entitled to them.
3. I haven't made any childish responses, well no more than you anyway.
4. You seem very angry, and for some reason have decided to come after me regardless of what I post.
5. Have a good night (y)
This is when the Labour movement needs support more than ever. I have gone the other way and ramped up my input and involvement. The motivating factors are simply the lies, dishonesty and sheer determination of the Tories to avoid accountability.

I just find it incredible that Labour put up a staunch remainer in one of the biggest Brexit voting areas in the country. Not only that, in doing so they’ve more than likely gifted an ex-UKIP councillor the role of Police & Crime Commissioner.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot

57% voted to leave.

He told them he would respect the result, he tried to overturn it.

I obviously like Paul enough to campaign for him, but he was wrong on this and it cost him his seat.
Paul Williams is a fantastic guy. He was my local
MP within ten minutes of emailing him I received a reply, update of what would happen next and a follow up.

I then had to deal with the Middlesbrough South MP who was a pudding.

I voted remain and I agreed with his stance.

You obviously weren't going to feel betrayed by it though, were you?
It suited your agenda.

I was personally very happy that Anna Turley was pushing for that second referendum and trying to drag us back from the brink, and I happily voted for her again in 2019, but I can't say I blame the thousands of Leave voters who were outraged by her doing so.
I spoke to plenty of them, but I underestimated just how much it would turn people against Labour around here.

Anna Turley another good MP.

From Paul Williams half an hour ago.

"My last shift before polling day on Thursday and it really couldn’t be closer. Make sure to vote Labour and back my plan for Hartlepool".

You endorse the corruption and cronyism of the tory party nobby? Youbthink they are fit to govern?
Do you think the man who cheated on his wife for years whilst she battled cancer is fit for the office of PM?

I never said that...did I ? Sense of humour alert 😂

Labour have never been a backward looking party, they have always been a progressive party of change and achievements like the NHS, minimum wage and equal opportunities regardless of race, sex and background are all at Labour’s door.

Just because the Tories and Johnson in particular have made that unfashionable amongst the working class does not mean it is the wrong long term direction.

Boris has delivered 180,000 well paid jobs to Hartlepool according to Nadine Dorries🤣. They spout any old made up crap and voters just drink their coolade.
Hartlepool folk might be about to join the UK's fisher folk in the upcoming UK gullibility awards.

Why can’t some Labour die hard supporters face the truth? Instead they blame the media, blame the good folk of Hartlepool, blame the Brexit support.

The real reason is Labour have and continue to fall short. Until they recognise this, address it, create policies that may help them become electable they will remain in the shadow of a government remembered for incompetence, sleaze and cronyism. A sad, sad indictment when you can’t lay a blow on such a pathetic regime

My 87 year mam went to James Cook Hospital today for a hearing test-It was booked some time ago. They said they no longer have the funding for hearing tests- she needs to make an appointment with Spec savers. Mam said Spec savers had sent her to JCH because THEY don't get the funding. Mam was originally referred to Specsavers by her GP because JCH don't get the funding.
In the last 11 years £96bn of NHS funding has been spent on private health companies

I really don't understand why we don't have a ring fenced NHS tax.
Surely most understand the growing need for it?

It's labour's fault that people don't seem to mind cronyism and corruption as long as brexit means brexit

If Labour can’t make capital at the present situation it doesn’t auger well for the short/ medium time.
No but Hartlepool is not fully reflective of every constituency in the North although the working class North East seems to have bought the Tory line.
