Would you take bamford back

I'd want Conor Chaplin or Cauley Woodrow from Barnsley if they went down and we stay up.

Karlan Grant from Huddersfield would be a great shout if they did.

His true colours were shown when he left us for Leeds and the way he celebrated the goal against us.

It's clear as day that Bielsa doesn't rate him highly. Bielsa wanted to keep Roofe but couldn't.

He'll be shipped out once they're promoted because he's nowhere near good enough for the Premier League.

Probably end up at another promotion chasing club.

Agree with this. He will never settle at the 1 club.
 
So Bielsa doesn't rate him but plays him every time and is this the Roofe that has done nothing at all at Belgium's biggest club by far?

Bamford had previously come to applaud Boro fans who gave him dog's abuse.
In the next match when they thumped us, he scored a good goal and ran away from the Boro fans behind the goal to the opposite corner to celebrate an important first goal.

We would be stupid not to take him back

Bielsa pretty much has no choice to start him. What is their other alternative? They're very weak up top.

Have you not seen the amount of guilt edge chances he's missed this season? He's top in The Championship for most 'sitters' missed.

And it was only last weekend, Bielsa hooked him at HT against Fulham because he wasn't happy with the first half performance....and that was even with the fact he scored...

Bielsa came out and said last summer he didn't want Roofe to leave and last season he played Roofe a lot more than Bamford (when both were available).

Would Bamford walk into our team? Without doubt he would. That's how far we've fallen.

Do I want him back? Certainly not.

Bamford was injured is why Roofe played more that first season. They would have played in the same side in any case with Bamford as front man.
As sooon as Bamford was fit he was first choice and they agreed to sell Roofe who I repeat has done nowt in a poor league for a big club.

As for sitters, I give you Assombolonga, Fletcher, Gestede and Nmecha. You couldnt make a Bamford from the best bits of them. Please don't give me there's a player in Fletcher.

And let's not re-open the door on the pulis snake.

That's why I said above - when both were fit, Roofe was still selected by Bielsa more so last season.

And as for sitters, I'm not denying we've got our own selection of strikers who have missed their fair share of chances. However this thread isn't about our strikers, it's about Bamford.

Should we have sold Bamford? No - one of the many errors made by Pulis

Would he get a game for us now? Definitely - our strikers aren't as good.

Would I have him back? Certainly not - he nailed his colours to the mast when he scored against us.
 
Someone would rather have Fletcher over Bamford - really???

I'd have him back in a heartbeat, he's a much better forward, striker and goalscorer than anyone we currently have at the club, look at the goals he scored against Sunderland at their place for us to see the talent this lad has
 
I think we need to recruit a midfield who can play to our current strikers strengths, would i have him back, yeah if the price was right

That's true but then equally he got a pretty decent reception in the return fixture at the Riverside all things considered.

I just find it hard to like the guy now. Think he's shown himself to be classless during his time with Leeds, especially when he got that Villa player sent off. That wasn't the Bamford we knew.

Can understand that. Was just thinking in terms of a quality striker and what we've missed.
 
Bamford is water under the bridge, and we're not going to pay the amount he would demand. His wages are in the Negrado bracket now, and we aren't signing him back either. I'd have Negrado back in a flash mind if he fancies it :D

I think our two statues of Wilf Mannion & George Hardwick are enough at the moment. Don't need a Negredo statue as well.
