Would finishing 8th be a good season

We are treading water but the Covid situation makes this inevitable. Clubs are playing extremely cautious and it's become doubly hard to get decent players in, something we've always struggled with anyway. Warnock has had to make do with odds and sods and he's done an acceptable job, though erratic of late. On the squad we have I would place us mid table so 8th would be a decent performance. Just need to keep our heads above water and be in a position to build on the other side of covid.

I would say 5th or 6th is our maximum potential so 8th would be a bit off full potential, but 8th to me would be a significant improvement on last season. The bookies had us to finish around 10th this season. Alos I would not write our seson off yet. Look at Reading they lost to Wycombe last night.

The squad certainly after the Sept window was not as strong as last season. We released 3 defenders (Ayala, Friend, and Shotton) and brought in one Hall - how can anyone say that is as strong as last season, for the defence?

Others in September were Akpom for Gestede, Morsy for Clayton, Bettinelli for Pears, Roberts for Morrison. In November Watmore for Nchema

Saturday could go some way to deciding our season.
I dont think it will take much to finish above Reading. Unlike thr teams at the top who have been inconsistent like ourselves, Reading have been poor since their good start.
Bournemouth have Woodgate so we need to finish above Cardiff to make the playoffs in my opinion.
Although other teams in form such as Barnsley can't be discounted.
