Worst missed sitter by a Boro player at The Riverside?

Looking at the replay he sort of hit the ball hoping to put it back across the keeper leaning back & totally got it all wrong, he's the last player I would criticise, each game he's the one who runs himself in to the ground, never gives up, his mis didn't affect his game, he instantly got up & chased the defender to try & win the ball back

Love his attitude since he came to the club

Fletchers miss was pretty bad but his only mitigating factor was his reaction to a save rather than being put on a plate for him.

Ashley Fletcher with two goals in two starts for Watford.. in the league cup against Palace and Stoke. Yet to start in the league.

I felt sorry for him. He is a lively player, and has done well for us. We want all forwards to be in a confident mindset. Let's hope he gets on the scoresheet soon and this can be forgotten about - whether he scores a worldie or a tap in almost doesn't matter.

Remember Alves(?) missing when put clean through against Pompey, just after Marlon KIng had equalised in stoppage time. Happy Days!

Just watched it on sky tweet. It looks worse the more you watch it. Simply don't know how you could miss😂. He still had a good game and run himself into the ground.

Fletcher at Huddersfield. I know it was away but one of the worst recently.

Oh yeah forgot that one!
It was away, but.... wow!

Pity the David Currie miss back in the early 80's wasn't on TV, it'd be nice to compare it to last nights. My memory is hazy now, it was so long ago, but I think Curries miss was still probably worse!!
think Curries was worst against Carlisle there is a brilliant photo of the crowds incredulous reaction after he missed, one my favourite photos (typical Boro fan remembering the miss more) from Ayresome park
