The Australian Grand Prix and the 6hrs of fuji have already been cancelled this week.
Does anyone else find it strange that other countries and organisations are being more cautious as we go full in herd immunity?

I do worry we’ll become a leper country. With cases higher than the whole of the EU I can see borders opening up through the world but not to us

Not really. Everyone will face the same dilemma as us eventually - accept that we cannot eradicate Covid-19 and learn to live with it, trusting that vaccines will limit serious illness and death. Or keep your borders closed and move in and out of some form of lockdown whenever cases rise.

It does seem that those are two main strategies being implemented right now.

And yes, it will impact international travel - I can definitely see that being the last thing to get "back to normal" and unlikely to ever return back to its pre-pandemic status.

Correctly, it seems that most nations are working on getting their own houses in order but as a result the complexities of international travel are laid bare.

I would say that with the first instance you need to get it down to a manageable level in the first place. We are far from there at the moment.

You will never stop this thing running riot at some point in a larger size country, it's just a race to vaccinate sufficiently before the worst happens.
