Work from home if you can

Obviously all the people who can WFH can afford to take a pay cut since you are no longer need to spend money commuting. I’m sure your employees will think the same come your next review or pay rise. Also you might have to pay more tax for the 10 million people who can’t WFH so they can get their benefits.

I think you'll find those working from home have higher household bills through having to heat up their place of work.

Perhaps a refrain from voting Tory is advisable if you're looking at wealth redistribution being a solution to your personal problem.

You sound like you work for this pile of ***** government.

I don’t have a personal problem. I’d rather pay for my son but if someone else has to then it’s hardly my problem is it? If the economy does go to **** and I do lose my job then the people advocating lockdowns etc will have to pick up the tab. I’m not really interested in doing any other work tbh so I’ll struggle on with my quarter of a million savings, in 2 years time I’ll be inheritance tax free on a house that’s been signed over to me anyway. It’s my ex and son that doesn’t have anything and will need supporting as her business has folded.

The impact of WFH will be huge if its done long term, the environmental impact of sitting in traffic every day is massive considering most office jobs have had the technology to WFH for years and just not done it. Plus health benefits of being able to eat properly must be massive.
If it wasnt that too many tory backers will loose out financially with no need for city office space, we would have done this years ago.

I eat worse wfh 🤣🤣

Don't worry about it, those without work are generally lazy fools who haven't the will to earn money according to many and so benefits have been, and will continue, to be reduced. You'll just have to make do I'm afraid. Why not start committing crime to get by like you alluded to on another thread recently?

Just wondering what sort of crimes you'll commit first and whether you have some sort of 'honour code' whereby you don't commit crimes amonst your local community and whether some sort of crimes are out of bounds?

I guess that's what happens when you vote Tory though, it's all good while you're contributing to their coffers but as soon as a twist of fate or bad fortune comes your way they sh*t all over you from a great height.

You have a quarter a million and a house signed over, but your son will struggle.....

you are Boris Johnson and I claim my five pounds

Last week he was saying he will revert to crime to feed his son if he has to do so. Seems he's happy to be a 'benefit scrounger' and have the state pay for his son whilst keeping his assets intact, but he generally looks down on unemployed people given his posts on this board and the previous. Proper Tory.

I would happily work from home as a delivery driver. I am gonna put the idea to the government...

I keep everything at my gaff and send out my address to people and they come and collect it whilst I drink tea and watch loose women👍

Jokes aside.... I would imagine the amount of people who can work from home is pretty low. I would love a job where I could sit at home with a laptop and work. I should have listened to my business studies teacher instead of dossing around😂

Please. I want to go to work, even though I get up at 3am and commute 3 hours a day I love my job and I’m good at it. If this handling of the lockdown costs me my career and it will be a career as my entire industry is on its knees and will be for years then I’ll have no qualms sitting by a lake fishing living off my savings whilst me ex claims benefits. They should of handled it better and should of suppprted aviation rather than sticking the boot in at every opportunity. BTW this proper Tory grew up in care, I’m where I am because I studied hard whilst working at the same time and then worked un paid for a year to get my job. I didn’t ask to inherit my money, would give anything to have my mum back but I can guarantee I paid more tax on that inheritance than you paid in the last few years.

you sound like a right chunt pal.

Jonny boast, look at me I have all this cash. Happy for you fella. Enjoy rather than boasting about it. People who usually boast don’t usually have it. Your probably on the wind up

if you’re a decent fella pass some onto your ex and son.

Haven't you done well. Enjoy counting your savings while your ex struggles to look after your offspring.

I get you are frustrated and angry at what's happening to your sector (also seem to recall you saying you'd a pretty horrendous year personally for a number of reasons), reacting like this is only going to result in criticism. If everyone had this kind of attitude the country would be even more divided and f****d than it is at the moment - it's an incredibly selfish and unreasonable perspective.

@UKLL1981 you still haven't answered my questions about the crimes you're happy to commit, all you've posted is boastful comments about how much you have. Which, in my mind, is remarkably strange as I'd give the shirt off my back to keep my kids fed and safe instead of worrying how they'll get by whilst I'm sitting on large sums of money and assets.

Who would have thought pushing people back into crowded offices, on crowded busses/trains etc would cause issues mid pandemic?[/QUOTE]
How could people on crowded buses and offices be the problem when the government told us all it is the 20 - 30 years old who socialise are the problem.

Sounds like you’ve had quite an interesting life 1981. It’s not often that children in care receive large amounts of inheritance.

Can I ask who left you the money? How did you end up in care?

I am commuting into my City office twice a week now and strangely because London is dead the infection rate is lower in the City than where I live so I see no increased risk than staying local.

i shall continue to do so mainly because I see it enhancing my job meeting some people rather than remaining in isolation. It is a tough decision to make for office workers and I know workers from professional firm clients would like to work back in the office because of their living conditions at home but if their work isnt opening their office fhey cant do so.

Businesses that rely on office workers i.e retail, sandwich shops, restaurants and pubs in the City will close in significant numbers. The storm will happen either when furlaugh finishes or, if that is extended, on March 2021 when vast amounts of VAT which has been deferred then needs to be settled.
