Woody sacked if we lose tonight?

Are we in the position to get the best possible any more though Block21?
When we had a bit of financial clout was the time to do it, not now we're on the bones of our **** with an external company keeping the banks at bay.
Maybe not the best, but surely we should be looking at someone better than Leo if Woodgate was to go. I refuse to believe that’s the best we could attract and afford. Cos it isn’t

I don’t think anyone was the brains, I think he had a lack of options and picked a side and got lucky for a few games in the sense that it clicked. Since then we have been awful, I include all the coaching staff in that

Clearly obvious that he stumbled upon that side over Xmas when he was down to the bare bones and had to play Spence and Coulson. Now that he has players back, and additions, he thinks he's Bill Shankly and can shuffle and tinker as he pleases. Sadly, I think people are correct and he WILL be here next season. I won't and neither will the lads I sit with. Can't bear this clown any longer.

we need a fluke result tonight to get things going but unless he picks something like the best team we have I can’t see it. I hope Spence and Coulson are back in tonight to at least give us a bit of pace in the side

If we take a real pasting in either of these two games and there's genuine discontent from the fans, and Stoke, Wigan or Barnsley pull off an unlikely win....maybe. I think he'll get at least these two, and realistically probably to the end of the season where he might be encouraged to say management was not for him and he was going back to being a coach for a while.

The players seem to like him as a manager. Well, Shotton does anyway. Fletcher, too, it seems.

But against Barnsley I just couldn't see what the gameplan was apart from getting Howson on the ball in their half.

i think he will be here next season regardless of what division we will be and so he should.this time next season you will all be singing his name at matches:):)

If we lose tonight I think he'll sack him, especially if the atmosphere turns toxic and the fans sing 'we want Woodgate out' (which I think could happen).

I wouldn't be surprised if he's been in touch with Warnock and he's waiting in the wings.

Warnock - hooray! That would be wonderful, wouldn't it.

No point sacking him tonight whatever the result. We wont go down because we lost to Leeds. It's the games against the bottom three that killed us, one off day you can accept but to be so poor in all three games tells us exactly where this team is heading.

Not for me. I think an experienced manager who can organise a side, make us solid again at the back and utilise Coulson and Spence can still keep us up. Just saw that Wigan have gone 2-0 up. Very grim, dark days ahead.

I'm not arguing against sacking him, just think tonight is irrelevant. Should have sacked him after Barnsley.

Yes I hear you Willow. I'm resigned to thinking he'll stay regardless. I just don't understand what's going on in Gibson's head. Wigan, Barnsley and Luton all winning games. Looks very grim.
