So much for Woodgate getting sacked last night.....
I'm hearing he has been. Who next for the Royston Vasey FC hotseat?
The guy who’s meant to be ITK on one boro has claimed McClaren has been seen . Didn’t say where but he said he’s around. Would suggest he means Rockliffe
There may be legs in this story, as apparently Gibson has just gone to check that the grass is still green

I would say a McClaren return is even less likely than a Karanka one. Especially while Warnock is available and presumably would be willing to fulfil a bit of an ambition to work with Gibson on a short-term basis.
The problem is, McClaren might actually just be staying at the hotel, since its quite a nice hotel. I once saw Charlie Nicholas there but I didn't assume he was taking over as manager.
Pretty certain this is all b***ks.
Ha, no need for that.it probably is b***ks but I just thought it was worth sharing. I can delete my comment if you want.
Think that would be a hugely divisive appointment though. Where as Warnock until end of season most would get on board withHa, no need for that.
Was waiting for the old grass is green response .
in all seriousness though, what is people’s thought on a return of the Mac?
(despite being a great centre half I don't think he captained any sides?)
This season has been quite the roller-coaster so far. I'll admit I didn't want Woodgate anywhere near the manager's seat - he always seemed to lack the necessary intelligence to out-think other managers and I doubted his motivational/leadership credentials (despite being a great centre half I don't think he captained any sides?)
Short term, we either keep Woodgate and risk going down (weirdly I'd actually keep him on if we did go down as I think it's likely to develop him as a manager) or bring in an experienced manager to keep us up (contract to end of the season only).
The issue with keeping him on in the hope that he'll develop as a manager is that to me he doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes, and frankly, I question whether he is ever going to be able to, as to me doesn't appear to have the intelligence.
Nothing about him suggested to me that he was going to have what it takes to become a successful manager when he was first appointed, and I feel exactly the same now.
