Stayed near Yarm last night and walked into the high street.
lovely pint of Wainwrights in The Bay

then stumbled on Fourteen Drops - a smashing little wine bar which was new to us.

lovely team running it and a cracking selection of wines to choose from
oh - and if you order the chips in truffle oil don‘t mess about, order 2 portions

booking recommended btw, it is tiny

Its great, they have a device as well that lets you try a sample of any wine without uncorking it. Not the cheapest place but very good quality stuff.

Got to agree Finney, the Wainwrights was spot on in the Bay last night, did you hear anything of the band in there, they were pretty good!
I've never actually been in fourteen drops, will have to give it a go sometime.

Nice to see the pub busy and a few old faces

That will be a ‘coravin’ - amazing device
Prices weren’t that bad apart from English wines
I noticed a bottle of 2018 Chateau Musar for jjust over £40 - that’s good value

I meant the food - you can spend £100 and walk out hungry but it is nice
