One down in Swanage I use all the time I’m down there

I actually remember having my 7th? Birthday party in the one at Metro Centre. Mr Wimpy was getting tortured 😜

They sort of went the fast food route for a bit, but the ones left seem to be the old skool ones, where you have a sit down meal.

Was around before tower house was demolished to make way for Mcdonalds

Still one in Huddersfield according to their website. None left in the North East

I remember The Golden Egg, Wilson St end of Dundas Arcade. I was very young then and so may be wrong, but didn’t that become a Wimpy?

When I was seventeen I went out with a girl who worked in Wimpy. Used to meet her on a Saturday night after she finished work. She smelt of chips, how good is that 😁

There’s on near to Wembley, went before I saw The Who a couple of years ago.

Didn’t see it before the Play Off final as was nursing a hangover before the game 😕

Walk,walk, walk into a Wimpyyyyy!

The home of the hamburger

As a kid I always used to wonder what those orangey brown circular things were on the Wimpey posters until I realised it was a sausage sliced into sections and arranged in a circle. Posh or what? (!)

There's one in my local high street, but it's surrounded by other places to eat and frankly it can't compete for my affections.

Have been to the Swanage one, though - but not for many years.

J Wellington Wimpy was a character in Popeye cartoons and he was usually pictured eating burgers.
