Wimbledon Empty Seats

I find it so annoying every year I try in the ballot for tickets to Wimbledon yet get nothing. Then to be sat watching it on tv and seeing all the empty seats.

I noticed that in a couple of matches. Another thing, i've heard the judge mention a few times for people to hurry back to their seats (to avoid distracting the players), and the commentators where talking about it last week but only caught the back end of what they were saying. I don't recall ever hearing the judge doing this, or not this amount of times, so is there some sort of rule change for spectators?

It's pretty common for the umpire to tell people to hurry to their seats, has been for years.

People treat it as a big day out and spend time in the restaraunts and bars, and wandering around the outside courts. Those seats will be sold, but the people are elsewhere for now. Quite regularly people don't turn up until 2 anyway

A guy I used to work with gets tickets through his tennis club, maybe an option for you.
